One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples
said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples." Jesus
said "When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who
is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you….
for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."

It’s hard for me to find the words_ worthy of Your praise
I know some say great prayers, I hear them in my church
But with You alone for words I search

He wasn’t always a leader, although he’s known as one today
The truth is that he was raised in his youth by Pharaoh’s daughter they say
He had the best education and lived a life of comfort and ease
While his people slaved in the desert, it seemed God ignored their pleas
In sin Moses killed an Egyptian, in fear he fled for his life
He settled down in a small shepherd's town, and was given a flock and a wife
His life at best was now simple, to see him as more would be odd
But his people were trapped in Egypt, in their pain they cried out to God
God heard their cries up in heaven, and He had His promise to keep
He decided that He would send Moses, God spoke as he was tending some sheep
Moses saw a bush that was burning, and then he heard a thundering sound
The voice of God spoke right to him, take off your shoes you’re on Holy Ground

Carry My staff while on your journey, lean on Me throughout the day

I thought of Jesus and began to speculate

Where would you run to? How could you hide?
Who'd give you shelter? Who'd be on your side?
Could you really find a place to hide from the Lord?
Concealed from His majesty, not subject to His word?
 
Nineveh's people had lost their way, Jonah was called to turn the tide
Jonah chose to run from His glorious majesty,
Didn't he know there'd be nowhere to hide
 
Where would you run to? How could you hide?
Who'd give you shelter? Who'd be on your side?
Could you really find a way to run from the Lord?
His love you can't run from, 'cause there's nowhere to hide
 
Nineveh needed him to preach the word,
against the wickedness of their souls
Three days and nights in the belly of that fish,
this time with God made him whole
 
Where would you run to? How could you hide?
Who'd give you shelter? Who'd be on your side?
Do you really want a way to run from the Lord?
His word you can't run from, 'cause there's nowhere to hide
 
Preaching with obedience Jonah cried a warning,
O Nineveh turn from evil ways
Nineveh's leaders they called for revival,
they heard God's Word and they were saved.
The choice that Jonah made tested his faith
God can follow anywhere and give you His grace
Just like Nineveh we've lost our way
Searchin' for the one who'll change the tide
All we really need is God's word and trust in Him to be at our side
 
It's Him you should run to, in His Word you shall abide
He'll give you shelter, He'll be on your side
His love will fill your emptiness, His Son lights the way
